If you’d like to contribute to On being them? please email your post to to with “Submissions” written in the subject box.

This is a place to share your experience, learn from each other, and think critically about how we move away from the paradigm of categorization. I hope On being them? will become an active dialogue and a resource for creating community and understanding. Reflections, short essays, fiction pieces, poems and images are welcome. Please see suggestions for submissions below:

Prose (essays, stories, fiction, and non-fiction): Please only send well edited, final drafts for review that are between 300-1000 words in length.

Poetry: Please send well thought out, purposeful poems that have been crafted to convey your intended meaning and emotional response.

Imagery: Please send photographs or original art that you feel expresses your thoughts On being them. Please also send any text that you would like to accompany your image. Please make sure you own the rights to all images that you send.

Along with your submission, please send a short biography, your profile picture, blog link and the header image that you want to be featured with the post. If you feel uncomfortable sending your own profile pic then send a picture that you want to represent you. Please make sure you own the rights to all pictures that you send.I am thrilled to add your voice, no financial compensation will be given for publications.
