Creative Strategies is a workshop style class for high school students. Through improvisation, movement composition, writing and theater devising they will work to develop their own creative approaches to communicating conceptual ideas pertinent to their lives. Guided by an adult that listens and placed in a peer-to-peer collaborative setting, these young people will have the opportunity to practice creative problem solving with a process over product approach.
- Mondays 4:30-6:30pm
- Start date: Monday September 9th
- Location: Gus Solomon’s Studio, 889 Broadway #4A (btwn 19th and 20th St.)
- Class is geared towards high school students who have experience with movement and are interested in challenging themselves physically and creatively.
- Students will also been introduced to Hypedestrian technique and will learn some cullen+them repertory, to help them develop a foundation and understanding of how to create theater and dance based work.
