cullen+them anniversary gala celebrating 20 years
The cullen+them 2022 + Award Gala was held at Manhattan Penthouse on Nov 7th. We honored Kim Cullen in celebration of the company’s 20th anniversary! It was only fitting that Kim Cullen was our recipient as we marked 20 years since she founded the first generation of Young Dance Collective which served as a unique way to bring young people together in creative, collaborative community and ultimately led to the formation of cullen+them!
The evening included performances by young them, young dance collective, and a short, work in progress excerpt of cullen+them’s show which later premiered in June 2023. Our 2022 gala was co-chaired by cullen+them board members Melanie Cohn and Daphne Rubin-Vega.
